1. Introduction

FuafoTech LLC d/b/a LullaRead (“LullaRead”, “we”, “our” or “Company”) provides an AI-powered platform for generating bedtime stories and related content. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal information when you access our website at lullaread.xyz or our mobile applications (collectively the “Site”) and the services we provide through them (the “Service”). By using the Site or Service you agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our Service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, information generated through your use of the Service, and information from third-party partners.

2.1 Personal Information

  • Account Details: Adult email address and password used to create an account. If you sign up using Google, we also collect your first name, last name, and Google account profile avatar in addition to your email address.
  • Payment Information: When you buy a subscription, your payment details are processed by Stripe.
  • Child Information (optional): Parents or legal guardians may optionally provide a child’s age range, nickname, and gender to personalize stories. We collect this information only with verified parental consent to comply with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Children cannot create accounts or submit data themselves.
  • Voice Samples (optional): If you record audio to create a personalized narration voice, we collect your voice sample and associated metadata.
  • Communications: When you contact us or respond to surveys, we collect your name, email, and any other information you choose to provide.

2.2 Content Information

  • Prompts and Stories: Text prompts you submit to generate stories and the resulting AI-generated stories. We do not collect images.

2.3 Technical & Usage Information

  • Usage analytics: Pages/screens you view, timestamps, feature interactions, and events such as sign-ups, log-ins, story generation, downloads, and marketing preferences.
  • Device data: Internet Protocol (IP) address, device identifiers, browser type and version, operating system, and settings.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: We use first-party and third-party cookies and pixels for essential functionality, remembering preferences, analytics, and advertising. You can refuse or disable cookies through your browser settings; however, some functions may not work.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  1. Provide and manage the Service – Create and maintain accounts; authenticate users; process payments; generate, personalize, and deliver stories and audio; allow downloads and replays.
  2. Provide support – Respond to customer inquiries and resolve technical issues.
  3. Improve the Service – Analyze usage data, prompts, and feedback to enhance AI algorithms, train models, fix bugs, and develop new features.
  4. Communicate with you – Send onboarding messages, account notices, story reminders, product announcements, and marketing promotions; you may opt out at any time.
  5. Ensure legal compliance and safety – Comply with applicable laws, respond to lawful requests, enforce our Terms of Service, investigate fraud or abuse, and protect the rights and safety of users and the public.
  6. Research and Analytics – Use aggregated and anonymized data to understand trends and improve our AI systems.

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

4. Information Sharing & Disclosure

  • Service Providers and Sub-processors: We work with third-party service providers to host our platform, manage authentication and databases, process payments, generate AI content, provide voice synthesis, send communications, monitor errors, analyze usage, and deliver ads. You can view our current sub-processor list by opening the Sub-Processors tab on our legal page. We regularly review and update this list and require each vendor to handle your information securely and only use it to provide the contracted services.
  • Legal obligations: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, property, or safety.
  • Business transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal data may be transferred; you will be notified and your information will continue to be protected.
  • Aggregated/Anonymized data: We may share aggregated or anonymized insights (e.g., total stories generated, usage statistics) that do not identify individuals.

5. Children’s Privacy & COPPA Compliance

LullaRead is intended for adults (parents and guardians). We comply with COPPA and require verified parental consent before collecting any personal information about children.

Only a verified parent or legal guardian may optionally provide minimal details such as a child’s age range, nickname, or gender for personalization. Verified parental consent is achieved through a one-time credit card transaction or other legally accepted verification methods. Children cannot create accounts or submit data themselves, and we do not use children’s data for advertising.

Parents are strongly advised to review all generated stories before sharing them with their children to ensure the content aligns with their values and is safe for their child’s consumption.

Parents may review and delete their child’s data at any time by:

  • Using the Clear Child’s Data feature in the /profile settings tab (immediate removal from our database), or
  • Contacting support@lullaread.com to request deletion.

If stories are generated for a child, the associated metadata — including prompts, story content, titles, story reviews, and reported stories — may be retained for one year or longer for purposes such as improving AI quality, ensuring safety, complying with legal obligations, and addressing abuse reports.

6. Data Security

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including SSL/TLS encryption in transit and encryption at rest, access controls, secure coding practices, regular security audits, and incident response procedures. Despite these safeguards, no system is completely secure; by using our Service you acknowledge and accept this risk.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have specific rights over your personal data.

  • Access & Correction: You can view and update your account information through your profile.
  • Deletion: You may request deletion of your account or your child’s data by emailing support@lullaread.com or using the Clear Child’s Data feature.
  • Opt-Out of Marketing: Unsubscribe links are included in promotional emails.
  • Cookie Controls: Adjust your browser settings to disable cookies.
  • Consent Withdrawal: If processing is based on consent (e.g., advertising pixels), you can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Additional rights: Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to object to or restrict processing, request data portability, or complain to a supervisory authority.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described here.

  • Account & usage data – Retained while your account is active.
  • Child data – Deleted upon account deletion or parental request, and can also be immediately cleared from the database at any time by using the Clear Child’s Data feature in the /profile settings tab.
  • Generated stories – The full generated video, along with any images and audio used in it, is automatically removed 48 hours after creation unless you request earlier deletion.
  • Voice samples – Voice recordings used to create a narration voice are stored for up to 48 hours, then deleted automatically or sooner if you request account deletion, or request voice sample deletion.
  • Story generation metadata – Prompts, story content, titles, story reviews, and reported stories may be retained for one year or longer for purposes such as improving AI quality, ensuring safety, complying with legal obligations, and addressing abuse reports.
  • Backups and logs – May be retained for a limited period for security and compliance.

We may retain certain information if necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements.

9. International Data Transfers

Our service providers and sub-processors may be located in the United States, the European Union, or other jurisdictions. Where legally required, we implement appropriate safeguards (such as contractual obligations) to ensure an adequate level of protection for your data.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time; the “Last Updated” date below will reflect changes. For material changes we will provide notice via email or a prominent notice on our Site at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
